We don't really celebrate Halloween in Australia, which I think is a shame. Any holiday that has treats as a key fixture is a good idea as far as I am concerned.
I've been watching the Halloween preparations taking place in Blogland and decided that I'd make a craft project for Halloween, even though we won't be part of it in the real world.
- Empty cardboard milk cartons
- Newspaper, origami paper or pages from a novel
- Cardstock or watercolour paper
- Pens and paint of your choice (I used marker pens and watercolour paint)
- Glue stick
- Craft glue
- Candy
Directions:
- Thoroughly rinse and dry milk cartons.
- Completely cover cartons in paper. (I used pages from a novel.)
- Draw windows and doors onto cardstock and paint. Cut them out and attach to the front of the milk cartons.
- Fill cartons with candy.
- Use craft glue to seal containers closed.
- Give as Halloween gifts or set up a haunted neighbourhood in your house.
This is adorable (yay) and recylced (double yay!) I'm so sorry that Aussies don't partake of the spooky goodness. But if you want, I'll send you a special Halloween card to reward your creativity....; )! Thanks for sharing, Jenny at CraftTestDummies.com

Hey we are in New Zealand and it's not big here either but I like any excuse to throw parties so we are having a dress-up disco with all the families from our street and kindergarten friends. This will look cute on my table so thanks!

Hi, I love this project. Could you possibly make a template of the doors and windows that we might print at home? My doors would never look as good as yours. Thank you, Lucy
