One of the birthday themes I was considering for Hunter's third party was a superhero party. He's currently very enamoured with Buzz Lightyear, Superman and Batman so it seemed like a good fit.
It's not the theme we chose, but I did come across this adorable Supergirl Birthday Party at The Tortoise and The Hare during my online wanderings for inspiration.
I just love Ellie's handmade supergirl costume and her super serious face as she models it. So perfect, don't you think?
The addition of the fabric flower on the side of the superhero mask really makes the party perfect for a girl.
The invitations illustrated by Ellie are just as adorable as she is.
The homemade superhero bingo game (complete with M&Ms) and 'Super Ellie' fabric banner are both lovely touches that really personalise the party.
The Tortoise and The Hare is a fabulous blog that you really should visit. You can find links to some of the projects created for this party on their site.

This is such a lovely post and am storing this idea for a few years time when my supergirl is old enough. Or maybe I'll just have to host my own supergirl party for my next birthday ha ha
